- fuzzybearslippers - the reason it was rejected when Jones entered it is because it was a winner. She was entering non-winners in a drawing for a chance to win a secondary prize, because it was a winning ticket, it was not eligible for the secondary drawing.

- @Zanilth - I don't know what restaurant you are working at that the manager or accountant still total the receipts at the end of the shift, but most restaurants now use POS computer terminals that total the reciepts for them.

- How do you figure you have to pay a flat rate? Income taxes are based on your wages and are calculated as a percentage. If you aren't making the 8% (or whatever the agreed upon amount is) of your wages, it is on you to document, to the penny, the amount of tips you actually received.

- If you're employer didn't bring your wage up to minimum then they were in violation of federal wage laws. It is on the employee to bring this to the attention of the IRS.
